Bilal Erdogan visits Moscow Cathedral Mosque The Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin held a meeting with the President of the World Ethnosport Confederation and the Turkish Youth and Education Foundation, Bilal Erdogan, in the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Russia, Mehmet Samsar, the embassy staff and the Deputy Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Damir Mukhetdinov, also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the religious leader of Russian Muslims spoke about the ties between Russia and Turkey in the Islamic field.

“One of our priorities in the international field is to develop cooperation with the Directorate of  Religious Affairs of Turkey, which is headed by our highly respected brother, Professor Ali Erbas. The cooperation between our organizations allows us to carry out different joint projects in the publishing, cultural, educational, humanitarian and other spheres, ”said Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin.

Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin also informed the distinguished guest about the development of the Islamic infrastructure in Russia, interfaith dialogue and the Islamic education system.

The parties agreed that the social, humanitarian and academic activities of Muslim communities played a significant role in the modern world and were meant to demonstrate the creative aspect of Islam and the Muslims’ contribution to the society.

The guests were offered a guided tour of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque and performed the prayer.
