On the invitation of President of Russia Vladimir Putin, Chairman of Russia Muftis Council mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin took part in ceremonies dedicated to the National Unity Day in Kremlin.
National Unity day commemorates the popular rising of a volunteer army that defeated Polish–Lithuanian occupation forces and expelled them from Moscow in November 1612.
Mufti attended solemn awards presentation ceremony and the official reception with Russian President.
President Putin and heads of all traditional religions of Russia also laid flowers to the Monument to Minin and Pozharsky on Red Square.
