Extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Iran awarded with Order of Honour "Al-Fakhr" Extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Iran Mr Seyed Mahmoud-Reza Sajjadi was awarded with second class Muslim Order of Honour "Al-Fakhr": "For significant contribution to the cause of spreading cultural and spiritual traditions of Islam, long selfless service for the Muslim Ummah, active participation in the implementation of the programs aimed at preserving peace and concord in society; for developing dialogue and cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russian Federation," says the award order.

Mr Sajjadi was awarded by the deputy chairman of Russia Muftis Council Rushan hazrat Abbyasov, who greeted and congratulated him on behalf of the spiritual head of Russia's Muslims mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin.

Iranian ambassador, in his turn, thanked mufti Ravil Gaynutdin for this high award and mentioned his big contribution to the cause of strengthening peace and accord and development of interfaith dialogue.

During his service as an extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador, Mr Sajjadi helped strengthen and develop Russian-Iranian relations, and worked over signing a memorandum of understanding and cooperation between Russia Muftis Council and the Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as Iranian hajj mission.
