President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin awarded Chairman of Russian Muftis Council and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin with Order III class "For Merit to the Fatherland".

The order of the President reads: "For invaluable contribution to the strengthening of interfaith peace and concord."

For his efforts in strengthening interfaith understanding, national unity and spiritual revival of the peoples of Russia mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin was awarded several government awards:
—Order of Friendship (1999)
—Order of Honour
—State reward of the Republic of Kazakhstan, medal "10th annoiversary of the City of Astana"
—State reward of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Order "Shapagat" - "Mercy"
—Order of Merit of the Republic of Ingushetia.

He was also rewarded by badge of honour "Public Esteem" for strengthening interfaith concord, Golden medal of the Russian Peace Fund, highest public award "Pride of Russia", Order "Russian Nation" of the League of Public Organizations of same name and a number of other public awards.

In 2009, President of Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree awarding mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin with Order IV class "For Merit to the Fatherland".

Other rewards of the sheikh include acknowledgements of the Mayor of Moscow "For invaluable contribution into interfaith peace and concord", decoration of the Moscow City government "For Merit to the Moscow Region", medal and order of the Republic of Tatarstan "For Valorous Labour".
