On September 3, Russian President's special envoy for the Middle East, deputy Minister of the Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation Mikhail Bogdanov received the ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Moscow Ali Hasan Jaafar.

The meeting was attended by the first deputy chairman of Russia Muftis Council Rushan hazrat Abbyasov.

The parties discussed relevant issues of Russian-Saudi relations, including the pilgrimage of Russian Muslims to the holy places of Islam in Saudi Arabia and the current situation in the Middle East.
