A historical and theological conference "Legacy of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the context of world civilization" took place in the conference hall of Russia Muftis Council on April 13 at the blessing of RMC Chairman mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin. The goal of the conference was to unleash the creative and scientific potential of young Muslim students through familiarizing them with the recent advances in Islamic studies.

Welcome speeches were delivered by the Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Moscow Ildar hazrat Alyautdinov, rector of Moscow Islamic college M. Arslanov and famous historian and associate professor V. Ahmadullin.

Well-known historians discussed the history of Islam in Russia and the modern tendencies within the Ummah and Islamic education. Reports were delivered by historians V. Ahmadullin, M. Safarov, A. Sadriev, R. Abyanov, experts in Arab studies F. Garaev, V. Vasiliev, A. Abdrahmanov, ethnologist A. Makarov, political expert S. Kashaf, educationalists Y. Zamaletdinova and Y. Volodina, economist M. Kalimullina.

The second part of the conference was devoted to the students' reports. Students of Moscow Islamic college and Moscow madrassah "Al-Fatiha" on Poklonnaya Hill delivered the results of their research in the history of Islam, Arabic philology and Muslim theology. The conference was moderated by the deputy principal of Moscow Islamic college I. Zaripov.
