Mufti Rushan Abbyasov, Deputy Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation (RBM), at the invitation of H.E. Sami Mohammed Al-Sadhan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Russia, took part in a gala reception dedicated to the 96th anniversary of the Kingdom's National Day. The reception was also attended by Ildar Galeev, Deputy Chairman of the RBM and Head of the International Department.

Mufti Rushan Abbyasov conveyed to the Ambassador greetings and congratulations on the national holiday on behalf of RBM Chairman Grand Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin.

In his conversation with the Ambassador, the Mufti noted the high level of Russian-Saudi relations. He emphasized the special significance of the current year, which marks the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

According to Mufti Rushan Abbyasov, interaction between Russia and Saudi Arabia is consistently expanding thanks to the efforts of the leadership of the two states and the friendly relations that have developed between them. One of its dimensions is spiritual diplomacy: the RBM is developing cooperation with the relevant ministries and agencies of the Kingdom.

In conclusion, the Mufti wished Saudi Arabia and its brotherly people peace and prosperity.
