The Islamic Center of Chistopol in the Republic of Tatarstan hosted the presentation of book editions published by the publishing house “CHITAY”. The event was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Mufties Council, Deputy Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, editor-in-chief of the publishing house Mufti Rushan Abbyasov, Head of the Department of Culture of the RBM of the Russian Federation Renat Abyanov, his deputy - General Director of publishing house “CHITAY” Ilshat Salakhutdinov, Deputy Chairman of the Muslim Community of Noginsk, Moscow region, Imam-Khatib Abdurrauf Faizov, representatives of Chistopolsky muhtasibat headed by Imam-Muhtasib Muhammad Kiyamov, members of public and youth organizations, residents of the district.
Rushan Hazrat conveyed to the participants words of greetings on behalf of the Chairman of the RBM of the Russian Federation and RMC Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin and spoke in detail about the activities of the publishing house, which is based on the ideas and works of the Department of Culture of the DUM of the Russian Federation, implemented with the blessing and wise guidance of the Mufti. He also emphasized the importance of the mission of the Department of Culture of the RBM of the Russian Federation and the publishing house “CHITAY” - preservation and dissemination of knowledge about the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Muslim peoples of Russia, through the publication of books that not only tell about Russian Muslim monuments and traditions, but also form an important idea of the role of Islam in the centuries-old history of the country.
During the presentation the audience got acquainted with the books of the publishing house, including “Moskovia: Birth of the Two-Headed Eagle”, “Mosques of Russia: from Century to Century”, “History in Miniatures. Traveling through the pages of Islam in Russia”, ‘Noginsk mosque: the story of a dream’, ‘100 wonderful facts about the Koran in Russia’, etc.
In addition, Renat khazrat showed the participants an exhibition consisting of illustrations of books “History in Miniatures. Journey through the pages of Islam in Russia” and ‘Temnikov: Fortress of Empires’, noting that the exhibition is an example of visualization of history. He also spoke about the spiritual-educational, cultural and historical-ethnographic projects of the RBM of the Russian Federation and the RMC realized both at the federal and international levels, accompanying the narrative with demonstration materials.
The residents of Chistopol warmly welcomed the presentation, highly appreciated the works of the Department of Culture and the publishing house, noting their historical, cultural and scientific significance. At the end of the event, representatives of the RBM of the Russian Federation and the RMC gave the Islamic Center of Chistopol copies of the presented books and memorable gifts.
