The events organized by the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation (RBM) traditionally welcome foreign guests, heads and representatives of embassies of foreign states in Moscow. The exhibition "Islamic Heritage of Russia: Peoples and Traditions," which opened at the Moscow Cathedral Mosque, was no exception.

The opening ceremony was attended by more than 20 diplomats from 15 countries, including Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran – H.E. Mr. Kazem Jalali, Oman – H.E. Mr. Hammoud Salim Abdullah Al Tuwaih, and Bangladesh – H.E. Mr. Md Nazrul Islam, as well as chargés d'affaires and diplomats from the embassies of Syria, Qatar, Yemen, Kuwait, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Sierra Leone, the League of Arab States, Iraq, Algeria, and Libya.

The foreign guests highly appreciated the level of organization, the substantive content, and the practical value of the exhibition.

In particular, the Ambassador of Iran, Mr. Kazem Jalali, stated:

"The exhibition is magnificent and clearly demonstrates that Islam in Russia has deep historical roots. This is vividly evident in the books published in Russia over the centuries, as well as in the works of Islamic art."

The Ambassador of Oman, Mr. Hammoud Salim Abdullah Al Tuwaih, emphasized that this exhibition not only introduces visitors to the beauty and diversity of Russia's Islamic heritage but also reflects the richness of its cultural and civilizational palette, revealing the contribution of Muslim peoples to the formation of Russian history and culture, as well as to the affirmation of the values of peaceful coexistence and interaction between the various peoples of the country.

Such active participation of foreign guests and their recognition of the exhibition's value confirm the words of Grand Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin spoken during the opening ceremony: "The Moscow Cathedral Mosque has been and remains the gateway to the world of Russian Islam."

The exhibition "Islamic Heritage of Russia: Peoples and Traditions" continues the series of events implemented by the RBM during the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, declared by President Vladimir Putin.
