Mufti Rushan Abbyasov, Deputy Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation (RBM), Chairman of the RBM of the Moscow Region, and member of the Supervisory Board of the State Foundation "Defenders of the Fatherland," took part in the All-Russian Forum of Veterans of the Special Military Operation "Together We Will Win." The organizers were the State Foundation "Defenders of the Fatherland," the Russian Society "Znanie" (Knowledge), and the Moscow Government.

The forum has been held since 2023, and this year it brought together over 2,000 participants in Moscow – veterans of the SMO and their loved ones, government officials, business representatives, clergy, and public figures.

During the opening ceremony, the participants were addressed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova, via video recording by First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the "Defenders of the Fatherland" Foundation Sergey Kiriyenko, as well as State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the "Defenders of the Fatherland" Foundation Anna Tsivileva.

In her speech, Tatyana Golikova read a greeting from Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which the Head of State, in particular, noted:

"The system of support for veterans, their families, and loved ones created in our country is developing, being enriched with new initiatives and real actions, and takes into account specific life situations. The contribution of employees of the State Foundation 'Defenders of the Fatherland,' other organizations, and volunteers who help our heroes return to peaceful life is significant here…"

During the forum, Mufti Rushan Abbyasov took part in a Plenary Session, moderated by Anna Tsivileva, as well as in the session "Spiritual Unity is Our Strength," moderated by Svetlana Grokhotova, advisor to the Chairman of the "Defenders of the Fatherland" Foundation.

Speaking at the session "Spiritual Unity is Our Strength," Mufti Rushan Abbyasov conveyed greetings on behalf of RBM Chairman Grand Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin and spoke about the work of the Religious Board in supporting SMO veterans and their reintegration upon returning home.

In particular, he noted that the trust of Muslim veterans in religious institutions does not arise overnight. It is underpinned by the systematic work of imams and Muslim communities, which begins while servicemen are still on the front lines and continues after their return home.

Mufti Rushan Abbyasov reported that the practice of integrating veterans into the activities of Muslim communities already exists. This work is carried out in various regions of Russia, including the Moscow Region. SMO veterans hold positions as deputy chairmen of Muslim communities, participate in collecting and sending humanitarian aid, conduct patriotic work with youth, and contribute to socially significant initiatives.

Mufti Rushan Abbyasov also spoke about the annual federal charitable program "Hajj Karim," implemented with the support of Senator Suleyman Kerimov, under which thousands of people go on Hajj – including veterans, SMO participants, their family members, and relatives of fallen Heroes.

Also speaking at the session was SMO veteran Rustam Mukhitov, Deputy Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Volga Region, Imam of the "Akhmat" Special Forces Unit of the Russian Ministry of Defense, and Imam-Khatib of the Saratov Cathedral Mosque, who shared his experience of providing spiritual care to believing servicemen in the field.
