The Dubai World Trade Centre is hosting the world's largest food and beverage exhibition — Gulfood 2026. This year, 5,000 companies from 125 countries are participating, and their products will be seen by 130,000 visitors.
Together with Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut, the Tatarstan stand was visited by First Deputy Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of Russia (RBM) Mufti Damir Mukhetdinov, Deputy Chairman Rafik Fattakhetdinov, and Director of the International Center for Standardization and Certification "Halal" Aydar Gazizov. The Republic of Tatarstan has been participating in the exhibition since 2021.
"Our relations with Middle Eastern countries are steadily developing. In 2025, Russian export supplies amounted to $4.3 billion. And, of course, the supply of consumer products from our producers is growing. We are well aware that Middle Eastern countries have very high quality standards and requirements, and our producers always strive to meet them," said Oksana Lut at the opening of the Russian "Made in Russia" exposition. According to the minister, special attention at the exhibition is given to halal products:
"In 2025, we gained access to four more countries for halal products. Considering that Russia is a multi-confessional country, our production of halal products for domestic consumption is growing, and, of course, these products are well-received worldwide due to our capabilities."
Last year, the International Center for Standardization and Certification "Halal" under the RBM became the first Russian organization listed in the register of Indonesia's state Agency for Halal Product Assurance (BPJPH).
