A delegation from the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation (RBM) visited the city of Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates to take part in large-scale celebrations dedicated to the Night of the Prophet's Ascension and Journey (Isra and Mi'raj).

The solemn gathering on the occasion of the religious event was organized by the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat of the UAE.

Dr. Omar Habtur Al-Deri, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, addressed welcoming words to the honored guests who arrived in Al Ain from various emirates, as well as to international participants of the festive program.

The events were held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed, Representative of the UAE President in Al Ain.
Among the honored guests of the celebrations were Advisor to the UAE President Zaki Anwar Naseeb and Minister of Education Sarah Al-Amiri.

During the event, the head of the Russian delegation, Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Saratov Region, Mufti Rasim Hazrat Kuziakhmetov, conveyed greetings from Grand Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin to Dr. Al-Deri, thanking the Emirati official for his contribution to the development of Russian-Emirati relations in the religious sphere.

In addition to participating in the festive events, the program of the visit for the Russian imams also included meetings with religious figures and imams of the city's mosques, a visit to the Al Ain City Museum, and the performance of the noon prayer at the Khalifa bin Zayed Cathedral Mosque.
