Russian Representative Participates in the 21st International Holy Quran Recitation Competition in Algeria At the direction of the Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Grand Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, Quran Hafiz Suleyman Bikmaev represented the Russian Federation at the 21st International Holy Quran Recitation Competition held in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.

The competition was organized by the Algerian Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments under the patronage of the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

Participants competed in the "Hifz" category, which requires memorization of the entire text of the Holy Quran. The competition was held in two stages: the first stage took place online and brought together reciters from more than 50 countries. Based on the results, 20 participants, including our compatriot, advanced to the finals and continued the competition in person in Algeria.

Demonstrating a high level of preparation, profound knowledge of Tajweed (rules of Quranic recitation), and the beauty of his recitation, Suleyman Bikmaev placed among the top ten reciters of the competition, honorably representing Russia and the national school of Huffaz.
