Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump will meet today at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage. The negotiations are scheduled to begin at 22:30 Moscow time.

The Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation (RBM) is offering prayers for the establishment of a just peace and the success of the upcoming Russia-U.S. summit, according to a statement by Mufti Damir Mukhetdinov, First Deputy Chairman of RBM, to RIA Novosti.

"At the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, we are praying for the success of the upcoming summit between our national leader Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump. August 15th is a sacred day for Muslims—a Friday blessed by the Almighty. We believe that, by Allah's mercy, the establishment of a just peace and an end to bloodshed are achievable," Mufti Mukhetdinov told RIA Novosti.
