Greetings from Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin on the Arrival of the Month of Rabi' al-Awwal 1447 AH

Dear brothers and sisters, fellow believers! Dear compatriots!
As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh!
May peace, mercy, and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon you!

The personality of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ holds a special place in the heart of every Muslim, which is why we welcome the month of Rabi' al-Awwal—the month of the birth of the Final Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets—with reverence and joy in our hearts. Today, August 24, 2025, marks the beginning of Rabi' al-Awwal 1447 AH.

The most important characteristic of the Prophet ﷺ, as described by Allah Himself, is that he is a mercy to the worlds. The Almighty sent His Messenger ﷺ to us not so that his teachings would become a theory for intellectual enjoyment, but so that they would become a light illuminating the path of people, leading them from darkness to light:

"There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book." (Quran, 5:16)

The best example for all humanity until the end of time is the example of our Prophet ﷺ. The greatest manifestation of our respect and love for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is following his pure Sunnah and embodying his teachings in our daily lives.

On behalf of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation and personally, I sincerely congratulate you, my brothers and sisters, on the arrival of the month of the birth of our beloved Prophet ﷺ—a mercy to all worlds!

I pray to the Almighty Creator to grant us all peace and joy, happiness and health, success and prosperity, mercy and well-being!
