On the margins of the International Forum “The Importance of the Family Institution in the Development of Modern Society”, which was held today in the Moscow Cathedral Mosque, Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Chief Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin met with the Rector of the Muhammad bin Zayd University of Humanities in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Khalifa Mubarak al-Zahiri.

Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin praised the established mutual understanding and cooperation between the  RBM of the Russian Federation and the University.

Dr. Khalifa Al-Zahiri, in turn, expressed his gratitude for joint projects in such relevant areas as Quranic studies, joint holding of scientific conferences, book publishing projects, as well as popularization and promotion of family values, establishment of inter-religious dialogue and others.

In March 2023, the Moscow Islamic Institute and Muhammad bin Zayd University signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Today, the RBM of the Russian Federation together with the University of Humanities and the International Project
“Co-operation of Representatives of Religious Denominations for the Security of Society” held an International Forum ‘The Importance of the Family Institution in the Development of Modern Society’ in the walls of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.

For several years, the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation has been developing diverse cooperation with the University of Humanities, including such important projects as the Moscow International Quran Recitation Contest, the Holy Quran Prize of the BRICS countries and others. A milestone in the development of brotherly relations between Muslims of the Russian Federation and the United Arab Emirates was the holding of the international scientific and theological conference “Spiritual Silk Road” and the meeting of spiritual leaders of the BRICS countries in Kazan in July 2024, which resulted in the adoption of a resolution.
