Valiahmet hazrat Gayazov, mufti of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Komi Republic, and imam of Perm Jum'ah Mosque Zakir hazrat Nebati departed to Iraq by the order of Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin to take part in Fatima al-Zahra international conference.

During the event, the participants are going to discuss challenges posed before the Ummah and the means to deal with its spiritual and academic crisis.

According to Zakir hazrat Nebati, one of the problems of the Muslim Ummah is the madhab split, which has its primary cause in ignorance. “Muslims often forget that we have the same Qur'an. To solve this problem, we must host events that will decrease tensions between madhabs. For Iraq, this is one of the most pressing issues”, said imam of Perm Jum'ah Mosque Zakir hazrat Nebati.

He has especially noted the fact that the most important problem of not only Muslim Ummah but of the world as a whole is extremism, which the ignorant also ascribe to one of the feats of Islam. “Islam is a religion of peace, while terrorism and extremism are grievous crimes that are strictly prohibited in Islam. To solve this really serious problem, we must continue to call up to our scholars and religious leaders to present evidence that these crimes do not come from Islam, but in fact only gratify the enemies of Islam”, the imam added.
