Moscow Local Muslim Organization "Kyausar" hosted a meeting-workshop on the topic "Job in Islam".
The purpose of the meeting - to discuss the best approach to job search and selection of employees, subject to the rules of Islam. At the meeting the members and guests of the community participated.
Opening remarks about how to approach the job search, write CV and create a positive first impression, were made by Ildar Sabitov, Project Manager of Center Technologies. Then the discussion of the problems started. In particular, it was noted that some employers do not employ Muslims for wearing a beard or hijab. However, it was emphasized that these attributes can not be a reason for firing an employee if he is a highly professional.
Among those present at the meeting were also the ones who are the employers and are in search of responsible personnel. So, one of the participants said that the staff who call themselves Muslims, are not always reliable, and sometimes an advantage in a particular job the employer would rather give to other employees.
The meeting also addressed the issues of improving education and training of applicants, it is necessary not only to get a decent job, but also to maintain a high degree of trust among employers in general.
The closing remarks at the seminar were made by Madina Kalimullina, team-leader of "Amal" Recruiting Centre. She summarized the results of the work of the employment agency, and the common mistakes, both from competitors and from employers. Among the questions raised by the participants were how the personnel center provides a guarantee that the employer after receiving a job applicant will comply with its responsibilities. As a possible solution, in addition to contractual obligations, it was proposed to make a ranking of best employers, and th ranking og employers are are the least trustworthy. Participants also expressed to draw up a list in respect of candidates who behave inappropriately and violated the work ethic.
One of the issues discussed was the topic of the allowed and forbidden. So, it was observed that sometimes people receive offers to work in areas related to trade in alcohol, which promises much greater salary. However, as emphasized by speakers, such earnings will not bring profits for life, but can only weighten the scales of bad deeds. Every Muslim must, above all, follow a lawful way to earn a living, and the pursuit of profit at any cost is not the meaning of life. It was decided to hold meetings and seminars on the subject of employment regularly.
