In Istanbul, VIII meeting of the Eurasian Islamic Council, which was held from 19 to 22 November, completed its work. The congress on the theme "From tradition to the future: Islamic Horizons Eurasia" was attended by over a hundred participants from 33 countries. The delegation of the Russian Muftis  Council was headed by its Chairman, the spiritual leader of Russian Muslims, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin.

Within the framework of the Eurasian Islamic Congress, Ravil Gaynutdin, Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia came up with a speech and chaired the second session of the Forum on "The tradition of Islam in Eurasia and new perceptions."

The Eurasian Islamic Council consisted of five separate sessions during dour days on the topics: "Fundamentals of ancient knowledge and wisdom of Eurasia", "Spiritual institution of Eurasia - from the past to the future", "The experience of peaceful coexistence in Eurasia", "The Future of Muslims in Eurasia."

As a result of VIII Eurasian Islamic Council a final declaration was adopted in which, in particular, it is declared that the priority for all humanity is to stop the bloodshed in the Muslim world, the Middle East, Syria, and Palestine. According to the organizers and participants of the Congress, it is necessary that all religious institutions and religious leaders, regardless of religion, have taken steps to establish peace and tranquility.

"The wisdom of Islam and its schools form the heritage of Muslims. No  confrontation can be allowed between schools, schools of thought, the more impossible it is to put up opposition unity and brotherhood of Muslims," ??- the final declaration said.  The adopted document also says that the new trends appearing in recent radical ideas oppose to the traditions of Islam. These ideas will never be applied in native Islamic lands, the historical centers of Islamic wisdom. The participants of the Congress expressed hope that Muslims will remain prudent and not succumb to radical trends. Another problem of modern society is Islamophobia, which arose in the Wes with its stereotyped view of the world and is primitive to a civilized society.

"One could say that this is already the industry, the cultural problem causing a crime against the conscience and human rights. Whatever territorial location, Muslims have to be together in sorrow and joy. Therefore, such facts as the celebration of the Muslim holiday on different days causes disappointment "- the declaration also stated. The Eurasian Islamic Congress consider important to ensure uniformity in these matters by creating academic religious committee. The source of the problem, according to participants is illiteracy, lack of desire for knowledge, and the only way to resolve problems is through the acquisition of knowledge and the development of science.

In the near future it is planned to create an Islamic university in Turkey to address religious, national and cultural problems of the Muslim communities of the Eurasian Islamic Congress.
