Specialist of the International Relations Department of the Council of Muftis of Russia Ramil hazrat Gallyamov returned from a working trip to Iraq, where he visited the city of Najaf Al-Ashraf.

The Russian delegation included representatives of local religious organization, "Ahli-Beit" and the Imam of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Moscow Ramil hazrat Rakhmankulov. The Iraqi side has organized an international conference which was attended by guests from Arab and Muslim countries as well as Muslim communities of other counties. It is worth noting the presence of the Ithna Ashari from Spain, the delegation of the Netherlands, of all faiths from Lebanon, as well as guests from the Vatican.

From 5 to 8 November, the Conference considered questions on the fourth righteous Caliph Ali ibn Abi Talib. During this period, a cultural program was organized to familiarize them with the history of the family of the Prophet. Conference guests visited cities Kufa and Karbala, where they paid a visit to the house of Ali (r.a.) and the tomb of the Prophet's grandson Hussain (r.a.).

The organizers and guests were presented over a hundred topics related to the biography of Imam Ali, the historical aspects, the cultural and political heritage and many other topics that affect the personality of Imam Ali. At the end of the conference in the museum at the mosque Qurans were presented that were printed from 1 to 15 years of Hijra.

Within the conference Ramil hazrat Gallyamov met with Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Sheikh Zia Zainutdinov, passing greeting words from Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin. From his part, Sheikh Zia expressed their respect and hope for further fruitful cooperation, assuring that each year they are expecting representatives from Russia to attend future conferences.

Ramil Hazrat discussed with the Iraqi side issues regarding the possible future courses of Russian students at the most prestigious university in this city - the Islamic University of Najaf. Remarkable for the Russian delegation was meeting with influential Sheikh Ayatollah Al-Sistani. He inquired about the situation of Muslims in Russia, noting that between Sunni and Shia have to be fraternal relations.
