Today in the region there are about 30 Muslim communities, but in spite of broadly similar economic situation in the region, the level of financial and economic viability of the communities is very different. At the same time, almost every community is in financial difficulty - no matter whether the community has a building of a mosque or land in property.
In her speech, M. Kalimullina stressed: "Before forming the budget for the next fiscal year, you must make very clear at what stage of development the community is, and what goals it wants to achieve in the long term, and after a year."
In particular, if the community wants to have a mosque in the city, you need to clearly define the steps that it needs to go through: the formation of the active members of the community, partnerships with local authorities, fundraising, negotiations on the allocation of land for construction, design works, etc . Among other goals, which tend to be to set the community in the long term - an enlightened and educated community, financial independence, halal infrastructure.
After the presentation, participants asked questions and exchanged views on how to optimize performance over the formation of fundrising. Among the issues raised some were connected to the legal complexities of communities functioning. In this regard, it was agreed that the next workshop of this series will focus on the economic and legal issues.
