Deputy Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council, Head of social and charitable and spiritual education office under the RMC Mustafa Hazrat Kutukcu visited the Office of Religious Affairs of Turkey.

The official visit to the Turkish counterparts was done under the Protocol of Cooperation signed between the Russian Muftis Council, and the Office of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey. The Russian representaive was received by the Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs, Mehmet Ozafshar. The parties discussed plans for joint activities in the near future, in particular – during the international competition of reciters of the Qur'an and the festival of Nasheeds, which would soon be held in Moscow. In both events, the Turkish side is going to take an active part. Some results of past events were summed up, and both parties expressed their satisfaction with the cooperation and reiterated their willingness to develop it in future as well.

Mustafa Hazrat also met with the Minister of Religious Affairs of Turkey, Professor Mehmet Germez and other competent persons.

During the meeting, Mustafa-hazrat conveyed to Turkish counterparts personal regards fro the Chairman of the RMC Mufti Ravil Hazrat Gaynutdin and discussed some of the items outlined in the Protocol on cooperation between the Russian Muftis Council and the Office of Religious Affairs of Turkey. Both sides exchanged views on the upcoming convocation of the Eurasian Islamic Council. The last achievements in the construction of the new complex of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque were also announced.

Concluding the negotiations, the Minister of Religious Affairs of Turkey conveyed warm greetings to his Russian counterpart, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Hazrat Gaynutdin.
