The State Duma of the Russian Federation held a meeting of the "round table" of experts to discuss the proposed project of the LDPR group to support the Russian Orthodox Church and other traditional religious institutions in Russia.

The event, which was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council Rushan Hazrat Abbyasov, was organized by the Committee for Public Associations and Religious Organizations. The session was presided by Nilov Yaroslav E., a deputy of LDPR. The meeting were also attended by representatives of traditional religions of Russia, as well as experts, members of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. It is worth noting that most of those present supported the draft statement, which says that "at the present time, the political forces must work together to further strengthen national unity, strengthening of civil peace and harmony in the country, unity of the Russian people on the basis of our traditional cultural values ".

The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council Rushan-Hazrat Abbyasov noted in his speech that offending the religious feelings of believers is an insult for all, regardless of affiliation to a particular faith.

"Religions are different, but God is one. Neighborly relations between people of different faiths in the country supported by a long history. I would like to underline that a significant role in this situation is played by the media, which often substituting concepts presents incorrect information. Muslims have repeatedly insulted because of the use of the incorrect terminology by both Russian and foreign media. In this regard, the Russian Muftis Council together with the Expert Council of the RMC for journalists covering the topic of Islam and Muslims, designed "The Memo of the journalist not to insult religious feelings of Muslims." This manual should explain the subtleties of interpretation and help journalists to sort out and understand where the true religion statements and where - flimsy stamps that have nothing to do with Islam, "-  Rushan Abbyasov said.

The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council said that "today there are pseudo-experts who call themselves Islamists, but in fact they are the Islamophobes who only cause division and discord within the Islamic Ummah, and also try to break the unity of the traditional religions, particularly Islam and Orthodoxy. Russia's Muslims will always contribute to the development of peace and harmony, as well as wiil be against those who are trying to destroy this peace, substituting concepts and taking us away from the truth."
