Last week the office of the Moscow bureau of pan-Arab newspaper "Al-Hayat" hosted a meeting of staff of the International Department of the Russian Muftis Council Ildar Galeev with the chief of the Bureau Reid Jabir.

The newspaper "Al-Hayat" was founded in 1948 in Beirut, but later the editorial office moved to London, where the newspaper is still published. "Al-Hayat" is the largest public-political information newspaper, and is very popular throughout the Arab world.

The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere in which Ildar Galeev spoke about the activities undertaken by the Russian Muftis Council, in particular, about the activities of the International department of the RMC and shared the organization plans for the near future.

For his part, Mr. Jabir expressed interest in the projects conducted by the Intermational Department of the RMC, and noted the importance of lighting problems, the life and work of Russian Muslims to Arab readers. Both sides expressed the intention of the joint fruitful work.

After the meeting the Arab journalist got leaflets and CDs with information on the activities of the Russian Muftis Council.
