On the sidelines of the international conference taking place these days in Cairo, Deputy Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation Rushan Abbyasov met with the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance of Saudi Arabia, Abdel Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh.

Rushan Hazrat conveyed his greetings on behalf of Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, Chairman of the Russia Muftis Council, and the invitation to visit Moscow, noting that this year Russian Muslims icelebrate this year an important event — the 1100th anniversary of the official adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria.

During the meeting the parties discussed different cooperation aspects, implementation of the memorandum signed in 2019 between the RBMRF and the Saudi counterparts, and emphasized the importance of collaboration that prevents radical destructive ideas from taking roots in Muslim communities.
