On February 1-7, the Moscow Religious Board of Muslims organised several events to celebrate the World Hijab Day. The online and offline events attracted hundreds of guests and covered a wide audience in social media. This project was the first large-scale international event of the Moscow RBM in 2022.

A unique exhibition 'Hijab Is My Pride' took place at the Moscow Cathedral Mosque, where guests could see the ethnic hijabs of different Muslim peoples. Ildar Alyautdinov (deputy chairman of the RBMRF and Mufti of Moscow) and Ildar Galeyev (head of the International Department of the RBMRF) attended the opening of the exhibition on February 2.

The exhibition was attended by Ms. Naima Al-Musharrah, head of the culture and media department of the UAE Embassy; Salavat Akhmadullin, chairman of the regional public organization "Kurultay of the Bashkirs of Moscow and the Moscow region", head of the research and educational department of the Dar Cultural Center; and Natalya Narmin Ichaeva, co-founder and managing director of the WANDI Group, expert in public relations, strategic planning and brand positioning.

On February 1, a series of lectures on the hijab was presented on the official account of the Moscow City Council. Experts and well-known public figures who took part in live broadcasts inlcuded the Mufti of Moscow Ildar Alyautdinov, lawyer Ruslan Nagiev, blogger and human rights activist Maryam Alieva, as well as the writer and Muslim coach Zilya Alyautdinova. The expert presented the following speeches: "Hijab: rights and opportunities", "A conscious way to the hijab", "Realization of a Muslim woman in the society" etc.

The series of events was followed by a festive dinner at the Dar Centre. The guests were offered a programme that included lectures, speeches, creative performances, quizzes, board games, photo shoots, mehendi painting, delicious treats and a fashion show.
