Results of the 12th International KazanSummit The 12th "Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit 2021" International Economic Summit and Russia Halal Expo exhibition, which took place at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre on 28-30 July 2021, came to a close.

Its opening ceremony was attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan and Maxim Reshetnikov, Russian Minister of Economic Development.

"Cooperation with the Islamic world is a priority set by our President Vladimir Putin," said Rustam Minnikhanov in his address to the participants and visitors of the Summit.
"The halal sector has huge domestic and export potential, it covers investment, fashion and culture," said the Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Reshetnikov.

The summit was attended by over 5000 participants. Representatives from 64 foreign countries and 41 regions of Russia took part in the forum. The main topic of the event was conscious consumption. The summit was aimed at developing economic, scientific and technical, cultural, educational and other relations between Russian regions and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. A total of 90 sessions were conducted within the framework of the forum. The business programme agenda included such topics as halal industry, partnership finance, youth diplomacy, medicine, sports, creative industries, export development, entrepreneurship and investments.

The International Centre for Halal Standardization and Certification organized the "Halal industry: experience and perspectives" session, which covered various aspects, challenges, and achievements of of the halal industry.
