Rushan Abbyasov, deputy chairman of the Russian Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of Russia, met with Mr Bahram Azarivand, Advisor on Cultural and Religious Affairs at the Iranian Embassy in Moscow on the occasion of completion of his diplomatic mission in Russia.

During the meeting Mr. Azarivand introduced the new Advisor of the Iranian Embassy in Moscow, Mr. Khojat Kaboudi.

The parties expressed a high opinion of the existing relations between local religious organisations and the Iranian Embassy in Moscow, the relevant Iranian organisations and agencies.

The participants of the meeting outlined plans for the near future and discussed possible ways to strengthen and develop their cooperation.

Rushan Abbyasov wished Mr Azarivand success and further growth in the diplomatic field.

On behalf of Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin Rushan Abbyasov thanked the Iranian diplomat for his active participation and support of international projects of the RMC and his contribution to strengthening Russian-Iranian relations in the cultural and religious sphere.
