The Emir of Kuwait, Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, who recently succeeded to the throne, sent a telegram to Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, chairman of the Russian Muftis Council, expressing his gratitude to the Russian Ummah for congratulating him on his becoming the Emir.

In his letter, the Emir of Kuwait emphasized the contribution of the RMC to serving Islam and Muslims and emphasised the high level of productive and longstanding cooperation between the RMC and the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs of Kuwait.

In conclusion the Emir wished Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin good health and further success in his work.
