Cooperation of Russian and Iranian Muslims A reception on the occasion of National Republic Day was held at the residence of Mr. Kazem Jalali, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow.

Rushan Abbyasov, deputy chairman of the Russian Muftis Council, and Ildar Galeyev, head of the International department of the RMC, attended the event on behalf of the chairman of the Russian Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims.

Rushan Abbyasov conveyed greetings from the religious leader of Muslims of Russia, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, congratulated the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran and the embassy staff and wished them further prosperity and new achievements.

The RMC delegates also had a meeting with Ayatollah Qumi, Deputy of the Supreme Leader's Chief of Staff for International Relations. During the conversation, Rushan Abbyasov described the activities of the regional religious boards of Muslims and noted that Russians and Iranian Muslims were connected by long-lasting fraternal relations in the religious, educational and cultural spheres.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to develop further cooperation for the benefit of the Muslims of Russia and Iran.
