On Tuesday, October 1, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, chairman of the Russian Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, had a meeting with representatives of companies of Southeast Asian countries — Oracle Frontiers Sdn.Bhd (Singapore) and Lawyer David Gurupatham and Koya (Malaysia).
During the meeting, foreign delegates informed the head of Russian Muslims of their intentions to implement a number of projects in the field of halal industry in Russia. Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin welcomed these initiatives and wished them success.
After that Rushan Abbyasov, first deputy Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council, held another meeting with delegates, where the parties discussed cooperation and long-term partnerships in the halal industry. The meeting was attended by Ahmed Azimov, Deputy Chairman of the RMC; Azamat Mintsaev. employee of the Russian representative office of Oracle Frontiers Sdn.Bhd. Arthur Gubaidullin, expert of the International Department of the RMC.
Rushan Abbyasov told the guests about the history of Islam and the life of Muslim communities in Russia. He also informed them about the International Centre for Halal Certification and Standardization, which had been established as a part of the RMC and had certified more than 300 companies. This fact demonstrates the growth dynamics of the halal industry in Russia.
The parties discussed the prospects for the development of Islamic banking in Russia, halal food products, medical services and other areas.
