The representatives of the Russian Muftis Council took part in a reception at the embassy of Egypt on the occasion of the National Day of Egypt, the anniversary of the revolution of 1952.

Representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Russia, prominent political and public figures had also been invited to the reception.

The event was attended by the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation on the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov.

The RMC representatives included the employees of the RMC International Department, D. Salem Zallam and Ismail Gindullin, who conveyed greetings and congratulations on behalf of the Chairman of the RMC and the Religious Board of Muslims the Russian Federation, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Egypt in Russia, Mr. Ihab Talaat Nasser.

The Russian Mufties Council has close ties with the relevant government institutions of Egypt, and promotes cooperation the religious, academic and educational areas.
