A delegation of the Russian Mufties Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, headed by First Deputy Rushan Abbyasov, is participating in the Global Forum on Human Brotherhood, which is taking place these days in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The delegation also includes Ildar Galeyev, Head of the International Department.

The event is going to be attended by Pope Francis and the Imam of Al-Azhar University Ahmad Al-Tayyib. The Forum is taking place under the auspices of Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan - Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, the Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates.

The forum is attended by prominent political, public and religious leaders.

The welcoming speech was delivered by the Minister of Tolerance of the United Arab Emirates Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, who noted that such international meetings helped strengthen brotherhood, establish dialogue, enhance cooperation and accumulate the common potential.

The issues related to tolerance, neighbourliness, inter-civilizational and interfaith dialogue will also be discussed during the Global Forum.

During a brief meeting with the Minister of Tolerance Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Rushan Abbyasov conveyed greetings from Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin and expressed a high opinion of the arrangements made for this international event. He wished further development and success in implementing projects that facilitate understanding between people .
