In 2012, the imam-hatib of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque Mustafa Kutukcu took part in the inauguration ceremony of the new chief mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein Kavazovich. «I should mention our cooperation with public and Islamic organizations of Croatia, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania. Just a month ago, a delegation of Serbian Muslims led by Mufti Mevlud Dudich visited the Moscow Cathedral Mosque", — said Rushan Abbyasov. He also informed the delegation from Sarajevo about the events held by the Russia Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, in particular, about the Moscow International Qur'an Reciting Competition, the Silk Road International Conference, the International Muslim Forum, the Moscow Halal Expo, the International Film Festival in Kazan, the charitable project «The tent of Ramadhan», as well as other social and charity programs.

The mayor of Sarajevo was pleasantly surprised at the diverse activities of Russian Muslims.
