A meeting between Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin and the Deputy Chairman of the Consultative Assembly (Parliament) of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Yahya Abdullah Al-Samaan, was held at the residence of the Russia Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Saudi Arabia to Russia Dr. Raed Khaled Krimli, members of the Consultative Assembly of Saudi Arabia, and members of the Saudi-Russian parliamentary friendship group.

At the beginning of the meeting, the parties spoke about historical ties between Russia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the conversation, both parties expressed satisfaction that the contacts between our countries were developing at the highest level. It was particularly noted that cooperation covered the oil and gas sector, security, trade, economic, military and technical spheres.

"It is noteworthy that the leaders of our countries have outlined the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of energy, industry and agriculture, and cooperation in these areas is already developing", said Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin.
The Chairman of the Russia Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin emphasized the role of relevant Saudi authorities, such as the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance in the development of Muslim infrastructure in Russia, establishing foreign contacts, organizing Hajj and Umrah .

" On behalf of the 25 mln Russian Muslims I would like to thank the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and the Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman Al-Saud for the development of the Holy Mosques' infrastructure " , - said the Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin.

The Deputy Chairman of the Consultative Assembly of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Yahya Abdullah Al-Samaan, highly appreciated the efforts of the Religious Boards of Muslims of Russia, noting the importance of developing relations between Russian and Saudi Muslims.


At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to develop further cooperation and bilateral contacts, and exchanged memorable gifts.
