Women's delegation from Iran visits Moscow Cathedral mosque A women's delegation from Iran visited the Moscow Cathedral Mosque. The delegation included Seyedeh Sedigheh Hejazi (head of the department for women’s and family affairs of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, leader of the delegation), Susan Bastani (strategic research deputy of the Vice President of Iran for women’s and family affairs, member of the academic board of the Az-Zahra university), Fahimeh Farahmand Pur (advisor of the Ministry of Interior of Iran for women’s and family affairs, member of the academic board of the Tehran university), Leilasadat Zafaranchi (member of the cademic board of the Sadra humanitarian research centre, university professor, Fatemeh Hasanzadechahardah (expert of the department for women’s and family affairs of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization), Parvane Mafi (member of the Iranian parliament).

The Russian side was represented by Ildar Galeyev (head of the International department of the Russia Muftis Council), Guzel Mubinova (assistant of the chief of staff of the Russia Muftis Council), Naila Ziganshina (head of the Union of Muslim women of Russia),  Galli Monastyreva (head of the comission for development of interethnic relations, interregional connections and ethnic tourism), Amina Shabanova (head of the Irada company), Makka Tsukayeva (general director of the international Shifa medical centre), Dinara Sadretdinova (TV presenter).

During the meeting Ildat Galeyev conveyed the greetings from the religious leader of Muslims of Russia, mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, and informed the guests about the RMC activity and the history of Islam in Russia.

The guests were amazed at the scope of Muslim women’s activities in Russia and a large number of charity and cultural projects implemented by the members of the Union of Muslim women of Russia.

The parties discussed different aspects of their activities and agreed to cooperate in the area of cultural projects and interfaith dialogue.

After the meeting the guests were offered a guided tour in the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.
