Today Rushan Abbyasov, first deputy of the mufti, met the Advisor of the Royadl Administration, member of the Senior Scholras Council of the KSA, sheikh Saad al-Shathri, who arrived in Russia as a member of an official delegation.

Rushan Abbyasov greeted the guest in the Moscow Cathedral mosque and expressed the hope that the forthcoming working trip of the deputy crown prince Muhammad ibn Salman would be successful. “We hope that future upcoming consultations and high-level meetings will strengthen bilateral Russian-Saudi relations for the benefit of both countries”, — said Rushan hazrat.

The parties congratulated each other on the beginning of the holy month of Ramadhan. Thousands pilgrims left for performing umrah during this holy month. On behalf of Russian Muslims Rushan hazrat express gratitude and appraised the efforts of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the king Salman ibn Abdulaziz aimed at creating favourable conditions for pilgrims.

The first deputy chairman of the RMC and SBMRF expressed confidence that cooperation and personal relations between our countries’ leaders will facilitate solutions to international problems, including the Palestinian issue and the crisis in Syria.

“Russian Muslims advocate for peaceful settlement of conflicts. We are committed to saving lives of civilians, as Muslims remember the words of Allah the Almighty, who said that killing an innocent person is like killing the whole humanity”.

The parties noted that there were long-standing friendly relations between our countries. Muslims leaders of Russia visited the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques many times. Delegations of Russian Muslims take part in many conferences and festivals in KSA, and we also receive delegations led by famous sheikhs. The RMC has held numerous charity campaign together with our partners from Saudi Arabia.

The parties discussed the question of sorting and systematization of our joint projects.

During the last visit of Russian Muslim delegation in January 2016, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz bin Muhammad al-Sheikh received a suggestion to sign a memorandum on understanding and cooperation.
The document has been approved by the government of the KSA and will be signed soon.

On behalf of Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, Rushan hazrat Abbyasov invited Saleh bin Abdulaziz bin Muhammad al-Sheikh to visit Russia.
