At the meeting with the President of Iran Hassan Rouhani Vladimir Putin told that the relations between the states are developing steadily and progressively. Hassan Rouhani, in his turn, said that the last year saw progress both in economic relations and international cooperation between countries.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran is strongly interested and determined to develop relations with Russian Federation in all spheres", said Rouhani. He stressed that the relations with Russia are important because "Russia is an important country in the region."
