Condolences to the Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Chief Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, on the death of sculptor Zurab Tsereteli:


It is with deep sorrow that I learned of the passing of the outstanding painter and sculptor, People's Artist of Russia Zurab Tsereteli. In this difficult time I would like to express my sincere condolences to the family and friends of the artist and to all those who knew and appreciated his work.

Zurab Tsereteli left an indelible mark on Russian culture and art. His creations, encompassing many genres and styles, have become symbols not only of artistic inspiration, but also of cultural dialog between peoples. Each sculpture, each painting is not just a work of art, but a reflection of a deep spiritual connection with the world, a call for understanding and unity.

He was not only a talented master, but also a true patriot of his country. His contributions to the development of Russian art, his desire to popularize spiritual and cultural values, as well as his efforts to preserve the heritage of his ancestors deserve deep respect and recognition.
