Chairman of Russia Muftis Council mufti seikh Ravil Gaynutdin expressed his condolences to the families and the close ones of the victims of a dreadful car accident near Simferopol. Overnight into September 28, a car fell into a road collapse resulting from a rockslide seven to eight meters in diameter. Six people, including three children, died on the spot, two more kids were hospitalised. All of them are members of one Crimean Tatar family. The text of the document reads:

"We grieve with the relatives and the close ones of the deceased, as well as all Crimean Tatar people. In the blessed days of Dhul-Hijjah, we pray to almighty Allah, asking Him to treat the victims of the accident as shahids and be merciful towards them. As for the two children who were severely injured, we ask Him to grant them quickest recovery. And may Allah ease the sorrow of the relatives and the close ones of the victims and bestow upon them sabr [patience] and strength to endure the tragedy. Verily, we belong to Allah and to Him is our return."
