Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin attended an iftar in the building of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the invitation of Iranian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Moscow Kazem Jalali. The iftar was meant to emphasise the high level of mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting Kazem Jalali expressed his condolences in connection with the terrorist attack on March, 22, in Crocus City Hall and thanked Mufti Ravil Gainutdin for the actions taken to strengthen unity and solidarity in the Russian society in the context of this tragedy.

In response, the head of Russian Muslims Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin expressed his gratitude to Mr Ambassador Kazem Jalali for his solidarity with Russian Muslims and for his condolences in connection with the terrorist attack.

The religious leader of Russian Muslims also mentioned that the International Al-Quds Day was held at Moscow's Cathedral Mosque as a sign of solidarity with Palestine.

"We have ahd the day of solidarity with the people of Palestine on the last Friday of Ramadhan for more than three decades. For many years, this event has been held with the much appreciated support of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran", said Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin.
