Mufti of Moscow Ildar Alyautdinov visits Cairo Last week Ildar hazrat Alyautdinov, the Mufti of Moscow, visited the capital of Egypt, Cairo. During this trup he also visited one of the oldest Islamic Universities, Al-Azhar.
Ildar hazrat met the students of this prestigious university, from which he graduated.

Among other historic sites, the mufti visited the unique mosque Al-Hussain. It is one of the oldest mosques of Islamic world dating back to 1153, when the head of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) grandson Hussain (may Allah be pleased with him), who was killed in the battle of Karbala, was brought and buried here. The imam of the mosque, Umar Ahmad Abdul-Mughiys was happy to received the delegation of Russian Muslims and prayed to the Almighty for peace, help and calmness for all Muslims.

“Islam is a stranger to the notions of violence and terror. Teaching in Al-Azhar is aimed at revealing the greatness and beauty of Islam through kindness, mercy and compassion”, — noted the imam Andul-Mughiys, when discussinf the latest events with Ildar hazrat.
