The international Moscow Halal Expo Exhibition for halal products and services has been included in the event schedule of the Group of strategic vision “Russia —Islamic world”. The event schedule was approved by Rustam Minnikhanov, the Group’s chairman.

The Halal Expo Exhibition is the largest international event in the segment of halal goods and services produced in compliance with international halal standards will take place in Moscow. It is a professional platform bringing together manufacturers, suppliers, buyers, distributors and trade companies working or interested in working at the halal market. The Exhibition’s mission is to expand the production capacity and the potential of the halal food market, which is possible only with the development of supporting industries.
Moscow Halal Expo 2017 will take place on 16-18 November 2017 in the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre, pavilion 4 and 4.1. The Moscow Halal Expo Exhibition was first conducted in 2010 and is going to take place for the 8th time this year.
The Group of strategic vision “Russia —Islamic world” was established in 2006 under the guidance of E. Primakov and M. Shaymiyev after Russia joined the Organization of Islamic Cooperation as an observer state. The group comprises 33 well-known public officials from 27 Muslim countries, including former prime-ministers, ministers of foreign affairs, a number of recognized Islamic scholars from Eastern countries (Indonesia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Kuwait) and others.
In 2014 V. Putin decided to recommence the Group’s activity, appointing the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov as its chairman.
Moscow Halal Expo takes place under the auspices of the Russia Muftis Council, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Government of Moscow, and with the support of Russian and foreign organizations. Every year over 25 official delegations, including those from the Middle East and Southeast Asia, take part in the Exhibition. In 2017 the Exhibition is expected to have over 250 exhibiting companies from more than 40 countries.
The chairman of the Moscow Halal Expo organizing committee, first deputy chairman of the Russia Mufties Council, Rushan Abbyasov, said: “The unchanged components of this event are ethics and corporate responsibility, which manifest themselves in the participants’ compliance with the halal standards”.
