A delegation of Russia Muftis Council and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation visited Istanbul to take part in the international halal forum that was organized in Turkey in late October.

The delegation included head of RMC International department Ildar Galeev, CEO of ICSC "Halal" Aydar Gazizov and his deputy Samat Sadykov.

Helal Expo 2015 exhibition that hosted both International Halal Summit and the Congress of World Halal Council that has ICSC "Halal" among its members was organized in Turkey's economic capital for the sixth time this year. It brings together world-renown experts in Halal industry who discuss latest tendencies, develop industry's standards and concepts of advancing the interests of Halal companies both in local and international food and service markets.

The solemn opening ceremony of the exhibition took place on October 22 in Turkey's largest exhibition venue. Head of SAM RF and RMC International department Ildar hazrat Galeev who greeted the audience on behalf of mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin stressed on the necessity of developing healthy and ritually clean market of halal food products and mentioned the interest of Russia's major food producers in the opportunities offered by halal market. Spiritual leader of Russia's Muslims mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin didn't miss the opportunity to convey his words of gratitude to the Turkish leadership for supporting Russia's Muslims on all levels and especially to the President of the Turkish Republic Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for coming to the opening ceremony of Moscow Jum'ah Mosque earlier this year.

During the visit, Russian delegation met with GIMDES president Dr Hüseyin Kâmi Büyüközer and the president of World Halal Council Tafir Nadzhaar. At these meetings, members of the delegation informed their partners of the latest events and projects organized by ICSC "Halal".

The Turkish party, in its turn, expressed its full support of the initiatives of Russia's Muslims in halal sphere. One of the matters discussed was the presence of counterfeit and fake products on the counters of Russian shops as a result of the shoddy business ways of certain companies as well as the ways to combat this practice to prevent further deception of customers.

President of World Halal Council Mr Tafir Nadzhaar spoke of the high level of organization of Moscow Halal Expo he was the honorary guest of.

"I was very delighted to see how young and ambitious Muslims under the wise leadership of mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin turned Moscow Halal Expo into one of the most high-profile events in world's halal industry," he said.

International exhibition Helal Expo 2015 and World Halal Summit ended on October 25.
